It goes without saying that learning a life skill such as cycling at an early age is beneficial to a child’s development. And choosing to introduce cycling lessons in your school or nursery can help to provide evidence on many aspects of the EYFS framework.
The most obvious area of learning that cycling lessons support are moving and handling and health and self-care. But cycling also strongly supports other areas of learning such as making relationships, self-confidence and self-awareness, managing feelings and behaviour, listening and attention, understanding and speaking.
